Elden Henson, best known for his role in The Mighty Ducks, has joined the cast of Netflix’s upcoming Daredevil series. Henson will be portraying Foggy Nelson, Matt Murdock’s (Daredevil) BFF and partner in his legal practice. Daredevil/Matt Murdock will be played by Charlie Cox (Boardwalk Empire), with Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket) taking on the role of Kingpin/Wilson Fisk, and Rosario Dawson (Kids, Sin City) will be playing a yet to be revealed role.
PJ Byrne (The Wolf of Wall Street, The Legend of Korra) has been cast in Martin Scorsese’s untitled pilot for HBO. The series takes place in the 1970s and focuses on the music scene in New York City as both punk and disco explode into our collective consciousness. Produced by Scorsese, Mick Jagger (The Rolling Stones), Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire), and Emma Koskoff (The Departed), and also starring Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire), Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), and Olivia Wilde (House), the pilot is aiming for an early summer start of production.
Upcoming AMC SciFi/Drama Galyntine has cast Chronicle actor Alex Russell as an orphan and potential leader of his colony. Galyntine is produced by Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead), Ridley Scott (Alien, Bladerunner), and Jason Cahill (Halt and Catch Fire), and also stars Charlotte d’Amboise (Frances Ha) and Catherine Dent (The Shield, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles). Galyntine follows a band of survivors in a technology barren post apocalypse.
