Howard Gordon (24, Homeland, Legends) is teaming up with Richard Price (The Wire) to make an American adaptation of the BBC series Inside Men. Inside Men is a heist series that shows the event from multiple points of view.
Micheal C. Hall (Dexter) will star in a mini series based on an unmade feature from Stanley Kubrick. God Fearing Man, based on a true story, follows a Canadian minister who becomes a prolific and successful bank robber and safe cracker in America.
Starz will be producing 10 episodes of The One Percent, a new series by Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Iñárritu (Babel). The One Percent is about a farmer (played by The Hangover‘s Ed Helms) who experiences a twist of fate that could save (or ruin) his family farm. Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby, Boys Don’t Cry) is in negotiations to portray the wife of Helm’s character.
Elton John and his husband David Furnish are apparently developing a series for HBO with Allan Ball (True Blood, Banshee, American Beauty). Virtuoso follows the lives of musicians of an elite academy in Viena in the late 1700s. The academy is run by Antonio Salieri, a rival of the legendary Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
