DC put some big stories out today involving their hit CW series Arrow, and a possible Supergirl series.
Arrow stirred up excitement at Comic Con this year when they unveiled a trailer for the series that revealed an appearance by a very popular comic book character. The character in question, Ra’s al Ghul, is a major Batman villain, the leader of the infamous League of Shadows. Since Comic Con, fans have been speculating who will take on the iconic role. Liam Neeson, who portrayed the character in the 2005 movie Batman Begins, even stated that he would reprise the role if it was offered to him. Well, the wait is over, Ra’s al Ghul has been cast. Australian Actor and former Rugby League Footballer Matt Nable (Killer Elite, Riddick) has landed the role.
Seemingly to accompany this news, a new trailer for Arrow was also released.
Also related to DC, Deadline has reported that Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash) and Ali Adler (Chuck, Glee) are working on a TV adaptation of Supergirl.
