Season 5 of Game of Thrones is still half a year away (at best guess), but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about it. 2 new pieces of news have surfaced about HBO’s mega-hit fantasy epic.
Flashbacks have been confirmed for the series 5th season by Thrones Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Speaking at an event in Spain (where scenes for Dorne will be filmed), the duo stated that “Making the first season, we set a rule: No prophecies, dreams, or flashbacks. We already failed the first two, ” they admitted, “and this season we broke the third. So yes, this season will finally have flashbacks.” No word on how far back these flashbacks will go, but it has been reported that younger versions of characters from the series are currently being cast.
Speaking of Game of Thrones casting, Mr. Eko himself, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (LOST), has been cast as Malko, a character not found in the books.
