The latest series from Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story, Glee) has just netted itself some genuine scream queens. According to Entertainment Weekly Emma Roberts (Scream 4) and Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween) have both landed starring roles in Fox’s upcoming comedy horror anthology Scream Queens. In what is quickly becoming a new trend in television Scream Queens will feature a new story each season centered around a new cast of characters each time. The first season premiering fall 2015 will center on a series of murders at a college campus.
Ryan’s current anthology series American Horror Story is enjoying success on Fox’s sister cable network FX and it’s hoped that he can re-create that success with Scream Queens on network television. By signing talented actresses like Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts they’re off on a good start. Curtis especially has experience with the genre having faced horror icon Micheal Myers in three Halloween films, While Roberts tangled with the Ghostface Killer in Scream 4.
