After a rocky road of rumors that Iron Fist might not even happen, we finally have our 4th Defender. Marvel’s The Defenders plan with Netflix will do for the streaming giant what The Avengers did for cinema. 4 separate series, each focusing on a different Marvel hero that culminate in a massive cross-over event. Early last year we got the impressive debut of this plan with Daredevil, and later in the year we got the emotional charged Jessica Jones. Jessica Jones also featured the debut of Luke Cage who has his own series currently filming. At last, the final piece of The Defenders has been cast with the role of Iron Fist, Daniel Rand.
Game of Thrones Actor Finn Jones, who plays Ser Loras Tyrell in the fantasy epic, has been cast as Daniel Rand in the Iron Fist Netflix series from Showrunner Scott Buck (Dexter).
Marvel also released the first plot synopsis for the upcoming adaptation.
Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
Finn Jones will be reprising his role as Ser Loras Tyrell in the upcoming 6th season of Game of Thrones.
