At last years Comic Con, the mood had already been set for Person of Interest‘s next season to most likely be its last. Now, that is simply a matter of fact. CBS has now made it official that Person of Interest‘s upcoming, reduced, 13 episode season, is, in fact, its last. While we are sad to see Peron of Interest go, 5 seasons is a great run, and the expectation of cancellation has likely allowed the series to end on a strong note.
“This subversive little paranoia-inducing cyberpunk-thriller is for you and would not have been possible without your support.” Said series Producers Jonathon Nolan and Greg Plageman in a statement, “As life has come to imitate Person of Interest, it’s been our great privilege to work on the show for the past five seasons. We can’t wait for you to experience this thrilling and final chapter.”
The final season of CBS’s Person of Interest premieres on Tuesday, May 3rd. After the premiere, CBS will air 2 episodes a week of the computer surveillance drama, not back to back, as other shows have done, but with a new episode airing every Monday and Tuesday night until the series has reached its end.
