Plus, Amazon reveals 5 new pilots for their next pilot season, including works from Guillermo del Toro (The Strain), Amy-Sherman Palladino (Gilmore Girls), and Matt Charman (Bridge of Spies). Besides Amazon, HBO has 2 new series in development with Adam McKay’s (The Big Short) Succession, and Kathryn Bigelow’s (Point Break) Mogadishu, Minnesota. Netflix brings the emotions with teen suicide drama 13 Reasons Why, and plans on adapting Paolo Bacigalupi’s Mika Model. AMC and Sony are developing The Night of the Gun, an adaptation of David Carr’s memoirs, with Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) and Shawn Ryan (The Shield) attached. Lastly, SyFy is going full on grindhouse cinema with their new series Blood Drive.
