This week for TVEnthusiast’s weekly news show, The Week’s News, we have some new shows in development, new castings, new deals, and more. Das Boot is being made into a series, as is the later life of Micheal Jackson, and TNT is basing an entire television block around the revival of Tales From the Crypt. Curb Your Enthusiasm nears production for it’s 9th season, Archer will see at least 10 seasons, and it looks like the now defunct Star Wars TV series could have been interesting. Mr. Robot‘s upcoming second season has been expanded by 2 episodes, which is also the number of episodes the series will premiere with, making a 3 hour event that includes a live reaction show, Hacking Robot. CBS All Access’ Star Trek series from Bryan Fuller will be 13 episodes, have a serialized story, feature both color and gender blind casting, and more. Wonder Woman takes the role of POTUS in Supergirl, while a The Walking Dead star plans to organize crime on Arrow, and The Flash excites it’s fans by naming it’s season premiere Flashpoint. Oh, and we have more news too, featuring HBO, Game of Thrones, CW streaming rights, and even Russian paranoia.
